Art Extension Workshops

If u like ART runs a highly successful Stage 1 to 4 Visual Arts Extension Program.
Creative students, who enjoy art, in Years 2 to 8 attending public, private and independent schools across Sydney and regional NSW are provided the opportunity to be extended in a fun, challenging and stimulating art education program. The 1 and 2 day extension workshops address Creative Arts Syllabus Stages 1 to 4 Outcomes & Indicators, with access to a variety of materials and artistic guidance. The syllabus outcomes focus during the workshops is on objects, places and spaces.

The 1 day program (for Stage 1 students) focuses on extending student’s knowledge and skills across a variety of media, techniques and tools primarily painting, drawing, mixed media and sculpture. The 1 day program focuses only on sculpture, developing student skills in hand building, coiling, connecting, smoothing and more. The Stage 4 program focuses on drawing or painting.

The workshops are held during Terms 2, 3 & 4 at the spacious, light-filled and inspiring If u like ART studio at 1a Powells Road, Brookvale. Daphne Katos is the creative art director for this art program. Tuition is provided by experienced tutors with specialist skills. Each school can nominate up to 12 students in each stage to participate. The program offered for each stage is different and new students are encouraged to attend each year.

In 2019, more than 350 students across 22 public, private and independent schools participated in our art extension program. An affordable return bus transfer service is available for non-local schools.

We encourage parents to contact their school to find out whether they will be participating in our arts extension program in 2020.
